SSMHA 2024-2025 Season

Registration Policy for 2024

Please note that all tryout fees must be received on or before September 8.  Any player submitting a tryout fee after September 8 is subject to a $25 charge above the original tryout fee.

 

You must register with South Stormont Minor Hockey in our district.

 

If you plan to try out for AAA / AA / A, please register before the end of July to ensure you are pre-registered in time for outside tryouts.  You will be denied your tryout if your home association has not received your registration in time.  You are asked to post-date your cheque for September 30, 2023; (include mailing address) however, you must notify the Registrar at [email protected] of the outcome of this tryout or your payment will be deposited, and if a refund is required an Administration Fee of $20.00 will be deducted.

 

Payment specifications: 

 

•  A discount of $25.00 per child will be given to families of 3 or more children.   

 

• Early Bird Fee (discount of $100 per player off the regular fee): Register by July 15th AND the first payment is due by July 15th, 2nd payment by August 15th, and the third payment by August 30th; OR 1 payment in full.

• Regular Fee: Register between July 16th and August 15th AND the first payment by August 15th, 2nd payment by August 30th.

• PLEASE NOTE: ANYONE WHO REGISTERS FOR THE EARLY BIRD OR THE REGULAR FEE AND IS NOT PAID IN FULL BY AUGUST 30TH WILL BE CHARGED THE LATE FEE.

• Please note that due to the volume of payments received, there may be circumstances where the e-transfer is not accepted immediately.  Please include your player’s name in the notes when you submit payment.  

• E-transfers should be sent to [email protected] with the password SSMHA2.

•  Players will not be registered until any outstanding amounts have been paid in full.

• Players who have not returned jerseys or who have outstanding team fees will not be registered until the issue is rectified.

 

• Refund requests are to be submitted on the “Refund Request Form”.  There are no refunds on tryout fees after September 1st.    Please allow 3-4 weeks for the refund to be processed. 

 

                                                                

Tryouts

 

• “Pinnies” will be utilized during tryouts and must be returned after each session.  You are required to bring a jersey with you to tryouts.

• All Rep and tier 2 level tryouts are mandatory to qualify for these teams.  Those who try for Rep level and are unsuccessful will automatically be placed in the House Evaluations.   Details about how the House League (B and C, and tier 3 and tier 4 for U9) will be posted after LSLMHL declares the divisions at each level. 

• There is a mandatory Body Checking Clinic for all players, including 2nd year U15 players, trying out for U15 Rep.  The date will be indicated on the tryout schedule.   Goalies do NOT attend this clinic.
