Sarnia Hockey Association (SHA) Terms and Conditions for Registration
1. General Registration Terms
By completing the registration process with the Sarnia Hockey Association (SHA), the participant and their parent(s) or legal guardian(s) agree to abide by the following terms and conditions:

Registration is available for the following programs:

<li>Recreational Hockey (Rec)</li>
<li>Representative Hockey (Rep)</li>
<li>Tryouts</li>
<li>Prep Skate</li>
<li>Volunteer Program</li>
<li>Skills Development Programs</li>
</ul>
3. Payment and Fees
<ul>
<li>All registration fees must be paid in full before a player is eligible to participate.</li>
<li>Payment plans, if applicable, must be adhered to, and failure to make payments may result in the suspension of participation until the account is in good standing.</li>
<li>Additional fees may apply for tryouts, skills development programs, and prep skates.</li>
</ul>
4. Refund Policy
SHA understands that circumstances may change, and a participant may need to withdraw from a program. Refunds will be processed according to the following policy:
4.1 General Refund Guidelines
<ul>
<li>All refund requests must be submitted in writing to the SHA Registrar and SHA Treasurer.</li>
<li>Approved refunds will be processed within 30 days of request approval.</li>
<li>Refunds will be subject to an administrative fee of $60 to cover processing costs.</li>
</ul>
4.2 Refund Schedule
<ul>
<li>Before the season starts: Full refund minus the Administrative Fee.</li>
<li>After the season begins:
<ul>
<li>Prior to Jan 10th - Prorated amounts will be issued minus Administrative Fee</li>
<li>After Jan 10th - No refund will be provided.</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Evaluations and Tryout Fees: Non-refundable within 48 hours prior to the first ice time.</li>
<li>Prep Skate and Skills Development Programs: No refund after the first session has taken place.</li>
<li>Medical Refunds: Considered on a case-by-case basis with proper medical documentation.</li>
</ul>
5. Code of Conduct
By registering with SHA, all players, parents/guardians, coaches, and volunteers agree to abide by the SHA Code of Conduct, which includes:
<ul>
<li>Respect for players, coaches, officials, and volunteers.</li>
<li>Zero tolerance for harassment, bullying, or abusive behavior.</li>
<li>Compliance with Hockey Canada, Ontario Hockey Federation (OHF), and Alliance Hockey rules and regulations.</li>
</ul>
6. Volunteer Requirements
<ul>
<li>All team officials and volunteers must complete the necessary certifications and background screening as required by SHA and Hockey Canada.</li>
<li>Failure to comply with these requirements may result in removal from the program.</li>
</ul>
7. Liability Waiver
By registering with SHA, the participant and/or their parent/guardian acknowledge and agree that SHA, its directors, coaches, volunteers, and affiliates are not responsible for injuries, accidents, or damages occurring before, during, or after participation in SHA activities.
8. Privacy Policy
SHA is committed to protecting the privacy of our participants. Personal information collected during registration will only be used for administrative and hockey-related purposes in accordance with SHA&acirc;&euro;&trade;s Privacy Policy.
9. Agreement
By completing the registration process, the participant and/or their parent/guardian confirm that they have read, understand, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
