Welcome to the 2025-2026 PEMAA Online Hockey Registration!

We are very pleased to be able to offer registration fees at the same rate as the 2024-2025 season!!!

-GOALIE PARENTS - (NEW) please select the separate goalie registration for your players age group.

-VERY IMPORTANT ***IF ANY PLAYER (Skater or Goalie) IS TRYING OUT FOR A TRAVEL TEAM***, PLEASE DO NOT COMPLETE THE ONLINE REGISTRATION AT THIS TIME.  PLEASE NOTIFY PEMAA BY EMAIL [email protected] OF YOUR INTENTION TO TRY OUT SO WE MAY RESERVE A ROSTER SPOT.  SPOTS WILL BE HELD FOR POINT EDWARD RESIDENTS, AND SARNIA RESIDENTS WITH THE YEARS OF SERVICE NEEDED TO SECURE A ROSTER SPOT.  ONCE TRYOUTS HAVE CONCLUDED, YOU MAY COMPLETE THE ONLINE REGISTRATION IF YOUR PLAYER IS RETURNING TO PEMAA.

-When the available roter spots have been filled for a team, additional players registering will be placed on a waiting list and prioritized by years of service.  In the event of a tie in years of service, a lottery will be held to determine each players position on the waiting list.

-Point Edward resident discount of $50 will be applied during the online registration!

PEMAA Terms and Conditions

Each registration will require a volunteer fee/cheque of $200.00 which will be collected before the players first ice time of the season.  Your player will not be allowed on the ice untill the fee/cheque is received unless all volunteer credits have been completed prior to the first scheduled ice time. This fee/cheque will be returned at the conclusion of the season or when volunteer credits are achieved. If all credits are not achieved, the entire $200.00 fee will be deposited by the Association. 

Let us be very clear, we do not want your extra money, we want a small portion of your time. We believe this system will provide more opportunities to collaborate, build upon our amazing hockey community and result in connections between us that can be fun and rewarding. We are confident, investing your time and energy in your player’s season will be mutually beneficial for all involved. Thank you in advance for your time, enthusiasm and cooperation! We can’t wait to see our families back at the rink!
Structure $200 per player = 4 credits per player
What constitutes a credit?
Sell 10 pizza kits = 1 credit (more details to follow)
Work 1 meat raffle = 1 credit
Credits can be earned for each meat raffle you help with
Assist with Jamboree = 1 credit
Multiple credits may be earned depending on the tasks you assist with and the amount of time you help with the Jamboree
Assist at Banquet = 1 credit
Multiple credits may be earned by working various tasks associated with the year end banquet
Serve on Ad Hoc Committee i.e.: Jamboree planning or All-Star Game, Spirit Day for the Board = 2 credits
Serve on a Bench for the entire season = 4 credits
Soccer Coach = 2 credits **must be the summer previous to start of hockey season
As opportunities to earn credits present themselves, we will post and invite folks to sign up however, “first come first serve” applies. If someone left until March to work on credits, they may find there are not enough opportunities available to complete their credits and PEMAA would be under no obligation to create tasks to earn credits.  If you have specific questions or concerns, please reach out to: Jane Kennedy: [email protected]  Jane will be tracking volunteer hours and helping us ensure folks get credit for their time and or fundraising efforts. If you have an idea or talent you wish to share around how to earn credits, we would love to hear it!

Residency

a) First priority for acceptance of registration to PEMAA will be for players who are residing or whose parent(s) or guardian(s) reside within the boundaries of the Village of Point Edward.

b) Second priority for acceptance of registration to PEMAA will be for players who are residing beyond the boundaries of the Village of Point Edward but whose parent(s)/guardian(s) own residential, commercial or industrial property within the Village of Point Edward. In the case of multiple owners of the same property you within the Village of Point Edward, proper documentation would be required and the Board would make decisions on eligibility on a case-by-case basis.

c) Third priority for acceptance of registration to PEMAA will be for players who are residing beyond the boundaries of the Village of Point Edward and have been active players in PEMAA. Priority will be given to those individuals with the most years of involvement as a player in PEMAA. If a player chose to leave PEMAA they would forfeit their years of involvement credits. Years of involvement credits would only be maintained by those PEMAA players who were required to leave the program because players under 2.1(a) and 2.1(b) described in the PEMAA Rules of Operation completely fill the roster for the team at their age level. This opportunity will only be offered if all of the players noted in 2.1(a) and 2.1(b)  who wish to become members of the team at their age level have been accommodated and there are still some further vacant playing positions on the team at that age level.

d) Fourth priority for acceptance of registration to PEMAA will be for players who are residing beyond the boundaries of the Village of Point Edward and do not meet the criteria of 2.1(b) or 2.1(c) described in the PEMAA Rules of Operation. This opportunity will only be offered if all of the players noted in 2.1(a), 2.1(b) and 2.1(c) who wish to become members of the team at their age level have been accommodated and there are still some further vacant playing positions on the team at that age level.

If a player, due to late registration, has missed part of the playing season, a reduced registration fee may be charged based upon the portion of the season remaining. However, a reduced fee shall only be allowed if the lateness in registration is justified, e.g. player just moved to area, had been injured or ill, etc.

Refunds for any player withdrawing from PEMAA will be granted according to the date the written application is received by PEMAA and the following table:

Up to September 30 90%
During the month of October 75 %
During the month of November 50 %
During the month of December 25 %
As of January 10%

Registrants who have demonstrated an inability to pay the full registration fee may request financial accommodations in writing to the Registration Coordinator. Due to confidentiality sensitivity, only the President and the Registration Coordinator shall make the decisions to grant or deny these requests.
