Waterloo Minor Hockey Tryout Payment Policy
Tryout Fees
Waterloo Minor Hockey Association (WMHA) requires all players to register and pay the applicable tryout fee before participating in any tryout sessions. The following fees apply:
- AAA Tryouts – $100
- AA Tryouts – $80
- BB Tryouts – $60
Tryout Packages
For players interested in multiple levels, we offer the following discounted packages:
- AAA + AA Package – $150
- AA + BB Package – $125
- AAA + AA + BB Package – $200
Payment & Registration
- All tryout fees must be paid in full at the time of registration.
- Registration is not considered complete until payment is received.
No Refund Policy
There are absolutely NO REFUNDS for tryout fees.
- This applies to all individual tryout fees and package fees.
- If a player registers for multiple levels and is offered a spot on a team at any level, no portion of the fee will be refunded.
- Example: If a player purchases the AAA + AA + BB package ($200) and is selected for an AA team, they will not receive a refund for the BB portion of their tryout fee.
Non-Transferable Packages
- Tryout packages cannot be split up or transferred.
- Fees paid for one level cannot be transferred to another level or to another player.
By registering for tryouts, you acknowledge and accept this No Refund & Non-Transferable policy.

Payment - Terms & Conditions
WMHA Registration Payment is accepted by credit card or etransfer only.

WMHA offers a discount for Families registering 3 players or more. The discount is $50.00 off the youngest players' registration fee. You must register all 3 (+) players in one transaction in order to qualify for this discount. If you do not register all 3 or have any issues, please contact the Hockey Office ([email protected]) for assistance. Each additional family member after #3, will receive a $50,00 discount; however, it will apply to the youngest aged player first.
A player with an outstanding fee cannot register until all outstanding fees from previous seasons are paid in full.
Early Bird Registration rates are in effect until 11:59pm on August 1st, 2025.*
Regular rates are in effect beginning at 12:00am on August 2nd to 11:59pm on September 15th.*
An additional late fee of $75.00 will be charged to anyone registering after September 15th for the upcoming season.*
*The regular rates and late fee DO NOT apply to the IP4/IP5 nor U6 divisions. There is only one set rate for these age groups.
Registration will close on September 15th; however the WMHA reserves the right to close registeration at an earlier date, if the maximum amount of players per team, has been met.
Refunds will be available on a pro-rated basis up to November 15th. The prorated refund amount will be LESS the Hockey Canada/ALLIANCE Insurance-Membership Fee of $75.00 plus a $25.00 administration fee to cover bank/admin fees (total: $80.00)
No Refunds will be issued after November 15th.
