Regsitration Policy

  1. Deep River and Area Minor Hockey Association provides a service to residents defined within a boundary set forth by the HEO Minor and District 5, and comprising the Town of Deep River, the Town of Laurentian Hills, and the Townships of Head, Clara and Maria.
  2. Complete Registration must be submitted to the Registrar on or before the last registration night held the first week of September.  Numbers received by this date will determine whether competitive tryouts will be held at each level.
  3. Complete Registration consists of the following: 
    • Any monies owed to DRAMHA from previous years paid in full. No post-dated payments accepted on outstanding previous year fees.
    • Completed on-line registration form.
    • A photocopy of your child's birth certificate (for new DRAMHA players)
    • Full payment of current year fees OR two (2) post-dated cheques: 
      • Post-dated cheque for 50% dated and received by August 1st.
      • Post-dated cheque for 50% dated October 1st. 
  4. Documentation and payment not completed electronically must be sent to Deep River and Area Minor Hockey via one of the following avenues:

    • DRAMHA Registration Nights, dates to be announced via the website and newspaper.

    • By mail to: Deep River and Area Minor Hockey Association P.O. Box 1331, Deep River, ON K0J 1P0. As iterated above, payment via cheque must be postmarked NLT 1 Aug or it will be subjected to a late fee.

  5. Incomplete registration forms (missing information, unsigned, payment incorrect or missing) will be returned to the family and the player will not be considered registered.
  6. For insurance reasons players must be registered with the DRAMHA in order to participate in any DRAMHA activity. This means that no player will be allowed on the ice until payment is received.
  7. Families registering more than 2 children see "DRAMHA Third or More Children Registration Policy"
  8. Completed "Transfer Forms" and Transfer Fees must be submitted for applicants who reside outside the designated area of Deep River and Area Minor Hockey.
  9. Extra fees will be charged to players accepted to Competitive teams commensurate with additional ice times utilized by these teams.  These additional fees are due to the Registrar by October 15 of the current season. 
  10. Official receipts for Income Tax purposes will be provided upon clearance of final post-dated cheque.
  11. DRAMHA players interested in attending tryouts for the Ottawa Valley Titans or Eastern Ontario Valley Aces must be officially registered with DRAMHA as per 8 above before being allowed to try out.
  12. Registrations will be numbered on a first come first serve basis. In the event DRAMHA does not have enough volunteer coaches, registration may be capped in line with the number of coaches available. In this case the first 19 players at each level will form a team.
  13. Unless new to DRAMHA, no player shall receive a reduced fee if they register late. If a new player moves to DRAMHA’s jurisdiction and registers after October 31 the fee will be pro-rated based on the number of months missed. Prior to October 31 the full fee applies.
