REFUND POLICY

In accordance with the Consumer Protection Act, a member may, at any time and at their discretion, terminate their registration contract with the Club de Soccer La Prairie Inc. (CSLP) by submitting a written refund request either by email to: [email protected] and [email protected], specifying "REFUND REQUEST" in the subject line, or by mail to the following address:

The cancellation will be considered effective from the date the refund request is sent, either by mail (postmark date) or by email (date of sending).

The refund request must include the following information:

• Requester's name
• Home address
• Email address
• Phone number
• Player’s name
• Date of birth
• Category
• Reason for the refund request

Cancellation before the season starts:

If the member cancels their registration before the start of the season, CSLP will honor the cancellation request, subject to a $15.00 administrative fee to cover registration costs.

Cancellation after the season starts:

1. If the member cancels their registration after the season has started but before the third week of activities, the penalty fees will be as follows:

   • $50.00: file closure fee
   • $15.00: administrative fee

2. Training sessions and past games are non-refundable, even if the member was unable to attend. Refunds will be calculated based on the number of remaining games or training sessions for the current season.

3. If CSLP is unable to offer a spot in a team for the player's corresponding age category, the refund will be 100%.

4. Equipment (shirt, shorts, and socks) is non-refundable and will be deducted from the refund amount.

5. The refund will be processed using the original payment method within a reasonable timeframe after receipt of the request.

Non-valid refund requests:

No refund requests will be accepted for the following reasons:
a. Cancellations outside the control of CSLP, including bad weather, event cancellations, or facility closures.
b. When a player switches clubs or associations during the season.
c. For activities missed by the member.
d. For exceptional cancellations or changes to an activity, given that CSLP activities are subject to change without notice.

NO REFUND REQUEST WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER JUNE 15, 2025, unless for medical reasons (with a doctor's note) or exceptional circumstances.

REGISTRATION, CANCELLATION, AND SUSPENSION POLICY

Registrations

CSLP reserves the right to cancel an activity or refuse registrations if the available spots have already been filled. In such cases, members will be refunded in full. The prices displayed are valid only during the specified registration period. Registration dates will be published on CSLP's Facebook page and website before each registration period. CSLP also reserves the right to modify prices without notice.

Late Registration

Once the mid-season point has been reached, and if spots remain available, a discount on the last posted price may be offered to members wishing to register for an ongoing activity (some restrictions may apply).

Suspensions

CSLP reserves the right to automatically suspend the passport of any player whose payment, or part of the payment, by check or credit card, is refused by the bank.

CSLP also reserves the right to suspend the passport of any player who has not paid the full fees related to the activity in which they are participating. This policy applies to all players with outstanding debts to CSLP.

Cancellations

1. Program or activity cancellation

   • Cancellation by CSLP before the program or activity begins: If CSLP cancels a program or activity before it starts, 100% of the registration cost will be refunded, with no fees or penalties to the member.
   • Cancellation by CSLP after the program or activity begins: If CSLP cancels a program or activity after it starts, the refund will be prorated based on the number of sessions already held, with no administrative fees or penalties for the member.

2. Weather conditions

   • In case of adverse weather conditions (rain, storms, field closures) that make soccer activities or travel to practices unsafe (snowstorm), CSLP reserves the right to cancel its training sessions.
   • The decision will be made at least one hour before the start of practice and will be communicated via CSLP’s communication platforms. It is the responsibility of parents to check these platforms for any updates.
   • If bad weather occurs during a practice or activity, it is up to the field supervisors to decide whether to continue or cancel the activity based on established safety rules.

Matches
Only referees are authorized to cancel a match due to bad weather or when the City of La Prairie closes its fields (unplayable fields). Unless otherwise notified, players must show up for the match to avoid fines or forfeiting the match.

FAMILY PRICING POLICY

Family Discount

The family pricing policy applies to children from the same family living at the same address.

A $65 discount will be applied to the registration fee of the third child.

The family discount does not apply to the Senior or Adult categories.
