2025 Baseball Alberta Association Membership Terms & Conditions

By completing and submitting the 2025 Baseball Alberta Association Membership Questionnaire and Waiver Form (the "Questionnaire and Waiver"), your Association ("Member Association") agrees to the following terms and conditions. These terms are in addition to and do not replace the Baseball Alberta Association Membership Agreement ("Membership Agreement"), which governs all member associations' relationships with Baseball Alberta. In the event of a conflict between this Questionnaire and Waiver and the Membership Agreement, the provisions of the Membership Agreement shall prevail to the extent of the conflict.

Authority to Submit

The individual completing the Questionnaire and Waiver represents and warrants that they are an authorized representative of the Member Association and have the necessary authority to bind the Member Association to the terms outlined in this Questionnaire and Waiver.

Baseball Alberta reserves the right to verify the individual’s authority, including requesting documentation such as meeting minutes, bylaws, or confirmation from the Member Association’s executive.

Agreement to Membership Terms

By submitting the Questionnaire and Waiver, the Member Association agrees to comply with the Baseball Alberta Association Membership Agreement for the term defined therein (May 1, 2024, to April 30, 2025), and all bylaws, policies, procedures, and codes of conduct established by Baseball Alberta.

Submission of the Questionnaire and Waiver is required to confirm and maintain active membership status. Failure to submit may result in suspension of membership benefits or privileges.

Purpose of Information Collected

The Member Association acknowledges that the information provided in the Questionnaire is necessary for administering Baseball Alberta programs and services, planning for resource allocation and development opportunities, and supporting collaboration and communication between Baseball Alberta and Member Associations.

The information submitted may also be used for internal planning, compliance monitoring, and promotional activities (e.g., promoting social media accounts) in accordance with Baseball Alberta's policies.

Waiver of Liability

The Member Association acknowledges and agrees that participation in Baseball Alberta's activities involves inherent risks.

The Member Association agrees to require all players, parents, coaches, and volunteers participating in its programs to execute Baseball Alberta's risk and liability waivers and assume all risks and liabilities associated with its operations, activities, and members.

Baseball Alberta, its directors, employees, volunteers, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the Member Association's participation in Baseball Alberta’s programs or activities.

Social Media and Public Accounts

By providing social media and public account links in the Questionnaire, the Member Association grants Baseball Alberta permission to use the provided accounts for promotional purposes to increase visibility and collaboration within the baseball community.

The Member Association is responsible for ensuring that the content shared on its social media accounts adheres to Baseball Alberta’s Code of Conduct and reflects positively on the baseball community.

Submission Requirements

The Member Association agrees to provide accurate and complete information in the Questionnaire and Waiver and notify Baseball Alberta of any changes to the submitted information, including social media account details, executive contacts, and operational platforms (e.g., registration systems).

Any false or misleading information submitted may result in consequences, including the suspension or termination of the Member Association’s membership.

Compliance with Membership Agreement

Submission of this Questionnaire and Waiver does not alter the terms or obligations set forth in the Baseball Alberta Association Membership Agreement.

The Member Association remains bound by the Membership Agreement and all policies, procedures, and commitments outlined therein, including compliance with Baseball Alberta’s Athlete Development Policy, payment of membership dues and fees, and use of Baseball Alberta-approved technology platforms for registration and league management.

Failure to meet the obligations set out in the Membership Agreement or these terms may result in suspension or expulsion from Baseball Alberta membership.

Governing Law

This Questionnaire and Waiver is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Alberta.

Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Alberta.

Certification

By submitting this Questionnaire and Waiver, the undersigned certifies that they have read and understood the terms outlined in this document and the Baseball Alberta Association Membership Agreement, and they have the authority to bind the Member Association to these terms. The Member Association agrees to comply fully with all requirements, policies, and procedures of Baseball Alberta.
